Overview

The Sensor Seal Gateway-Server Communication Protocol (SSGSCP) is the protocol used for the communication over a network/the internet between a Sensor Seal Gateway Server and a Sensor Seal Gateway.
The SSGSCP protocol is an application-layer protocol that runs on top of UDP and uses UDP port 1818 by default. It is designed to fit in a UDP datagram that is contained within a single minimum-MTU IP packet. The SSGSCP server and client (gateway) both store the same pre-shared key (PSK) which is used for SSGSCP packet encryption using AES-256 CTR.
